SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - If you need to get somewhere Thursday, you might want to check out a local bus.
There's no better day, when Sioux City celebrates the 8th National Dump the Pump Day.
Every bus ride will be free and give you a chance to see the transit system first hand.
Transit Manager Mike Collett say it's a great way to get new riders on and reward continued riders.
"I think a lot of people can get in their own vehicles and drive, but this is an opportunity to check out our bus system and see how easy it is to use at the same time and also save some money and protect the environment, " Mike Collett, Sioux City Transit System.
Collett says increasing rider ship will help folks save money, reduce foreign oil dependence and improve quality of life.
