NAIA extends contract with Sioux City

Sioux City and the NAIA have reached a deal to extend their agreement to hold the Division II women's basketball championships for three more years, through 2017. College basketball fans in Siouxland will get to enjoy the NAIA women's national tournament for several more years, at least.

An official announcement is coming Monday, but officials have told KTIV that Sioux City and the NAIA have reached a deal to extend their agreement for three more years, through 2017.

The tourney has been in Sioux City for the past 16 years, bringing in 32 teams from all over the country for the six day event.
