Cody Satterwhite pitched two scoreless innings of relief to keep his season ERA under 1.00.

The Sioux City Explorers (14-20) gave up two solo home runs in the first inning and that was all the scoring as the first place Wichita Wingnuts won 2-0 on Friday at Lewis and Clark Park.
X's starter Dan Jurik, who leads the American Association in home runs allowed, gave up long balls to Jake Kahaulelio and C.J. Ziegler in the top of the first inning. Jurik did not allow a run over the next five innings, finishing with six strikeouts in six innings.
Sioux City reliever Cody Satterwhite pitched scoreless innings in the seventh and eighth to keep his ERA below 1.00.
Wichita (23-12) starter Junior Guerra struck out nine Explorers in 7 1/3 scoreless innings. Two other Wichita relievers held Sioux City hitless in the eighth and ninth innings.
Game three of the four game series is Saturday at Lewis and Clark Park at 7:05.
