CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

No one was injured when two homes were shot in Cedar Rapids Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to a shots fired call at the intersection of Washington Avenue and 15th Street SE just after noon.

When they arrived, they found that two homes nearby on the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue SE had been shot.

Officers received a description of the subject and chased the subject. They then found a handgun near Washington and 15th Street.

Officers arrested Daevon Evans, 22, of Chicago. He's been charged with interference with official acts and possession of marijuana and is currently in the Linn County Jail. However, it is unclear at this time if Evans is connected to the shooting.
