Luke Murton is now batting .400 on the season.
Sam Judah played hero for the second game in a row, coming through with a two RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning lifting Sioux City to a 4-2 win Tuesday night against Winnipeg.
The win is the Explorers third straight, a feat they haven't accomplished since winning the first three games of the season against Sioux Falls. The win improves Sioux City's record to 17-20 on the season.
Trailing 2-1 heading into the eighth, with one out, Luke Murton raced home from third on a wild pitch to tie the game at two.
Later in the inning with runners on second and third, on a 2-1 pitch Judah singled, driving home Peter Barrows and Yusuke Inoguchi to put the X's on top 4-2.
In the top of the 9th Winnipeg tried mount a rally.
With one down, Nate Samson singled to right and tried to advance to second on a fielding miscue, but was gunned down at second in his attempt.
Chris Bodishbaugh picked up his ninth save of the season to preserve the win.
Murton led the X's going 3-for-4 at the plate and raised his average to .400.
Sioux City and Winnipeg will play again on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. at Lewis & Clark Park.
