Sioux City police released the name of the driver involved in the fiery crash on I-29 Wednesday morning.

Police say 53-year-old James Roland of Wichita, Kansas was driving a semi trailer for James Mason Enterprise when he hit the median on I-29 northbound around 11 o'clock.  They say the semi trailer's fuel tank ruptured and started on fire.

Roland was hauling insulation and was able to get out.  Paramedics took him to Mercy Medical Center for treatment, but has since been released.

Sioux City Fire Department's Deputy Fire Marshal, Joe Rodriguez says most of the fire was out within 20 minutes.  Officials say the 185th Refueling Wing Fire Department was also dispatched to assist.

The fire forced officials to close I-29 northbound for hours.

The Iowa State Patrol is still investigating the incident and more information should be available Friday afternoon.
