Siouxland Community Health CEO resigns

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

After the resignation of its CEO, there's new leadership at the Siouxland Community Health Center.

Mari Kaptain-Dahlen has taken the job as interim Chief Executive Officer after serving in several leadership roles at Mercy Medical Center, including Chief Operating Officer.

Siouxland Community Health is in the midst of 1-point-3 million dollar expansion of its building on Nebraska Street.

Dahlen replaces Michelle Stephan who recently resigned from the job as CEO.

Stephan and the Health Center are the target of a federal lawsuit filed by former employee Sharon Robertson.

Robertson claims Stephan subjected her to a hostile work environment because Robertson is a lesbian.

She claims Stephan subjected her to "unwanted and unwelcome sexual comments, e-mails, texts, and jokes."

Stephan denies the allegations.
