Camp Goodwill helps children in need

For more than 80 years Camp Goodwill has provided underprivileged kids with food for their bodies, and activities for their brains.

This year was no different.

One of several week-long sessions is taking place right now at Crystal Lake in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Kids eight to twelve years old are invited to take part in swimming, kayaking, miniature golfing, gardening, leadership building.

"We get to swim all week, and it's really fun. We get to do different activities," said Zachary Kilstorm, camper.

This session, campers stay overnight through Friday.

And next Monday, another group of campers will fill the cabins for their week at camp.

Camp Goodwill offers five one-week sessions going through the end of July.

"Some of these kids, their home life isn't the greatest, so they come here to relax and have fun," said Zack Nice, camp counselor.

The camp is one of just two Goodwill camps in the United States.
