Break-in leads to foot chase in Norfolk, NE

NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) -

Norfolk, NE police have arrested a man accused of attempting to break into a home before leading authorities on a chase.

Police say 39-year old Juan Ruelas was arrested Saturday. Police were called just before noon to a report of an attempted break-in on the 300 block of South 3rd Street. When police arrived, they say Ruelas, and another man, took off running. Ruelas ran for about four blocks, and through a home on Hayes Street, before he was finally apprehended.

Ruelas faces trespassing and obstruction charges in addition to other active warrants against him in Madison and Colfax counties.
