Siouxland officials hold benefit for injured referee

The Siouxland Officials Association is holding a benefit dinner to help one of their own on Sunday.

John Jacobs of Sioux City is recovering from a brain injury, suffered after a fall during an epileptic seizure in May.

The benefit dinner will be Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church gym on South Lakeport Street in Sioux City.

Siouxland referees and friends of Jacobs will be serving the food.

The 45-year-old was in an induced coma for a month at St. Luke's and is continuing his recovery in Lincoln.
