Fireworks in heavy demand

Along with grilling, many will be lighting off fireworks Thursday night.

Zort's Fireworks in North Sioux City, South Dakota was busy with last minute shoppers.

Although some items are getting thin, others are heavily stocked. There's something for kids, adults, small and large fireworks, even some for the whole family.

"Artillery shells, sky lanterns, sparklers, snaps," said Jenny Kunze of Sioux City.

"We like the Saturn Missiles, we like the festival balls, we like the aerial rockets," said Rusty Taylor, of Westville, Iowa.

"It's hard to gauge from year to year what's the most popular and how they buy preciously, but we try to keep some items in each categories so that there's a selection when people come in," said Andrew Barber of Zort's Fireworks.

And if you run out of fireworks, Zort's is open until midnight.

Just a reminder, fireworks, with the exception of snakes, caps, and sparklers are illegal in Iowa.
