Floyd Valley hospital announced $25 million expansion
LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) -
It's an upgrade a decade in the making.
Construction will start on a multi-million dollar facelift to Floyd Valley Hospital this year.
The hospital announced Saturday, they will begin a nearly $25 million project, to add nearly 44,000 square feet of new construction and renovations to its current site.
Helping pay for the project is a $16-million USDA rural development loan.
"We're able to consolidate some functions and have people who work on similar things, working more closely with each other and make their work go more effectively," said Michael Donlin, administrator for Floyd Valley Hospitals.
Plans also include the addition of geothermal wells.
