Kirk Levin sentenced in the death of his mother

A Sac County, Iowa judge sentenced Kirk Levin to life in prison Friday morning.

The 22-year-old Sac City man was convicted of 1st degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother, Marilyn Schmitt, in January of 2013.
