A Nebraska man accused of burglary is working on a plea agreement

Lawyers in the case of a Norfolk, Nebraska man accused in a string of burglaries say they're working on a plea agreement in the case.

43-year old Richard Scrivner appeared in Madison County District Court Friday afternoon.

His lawyer said during the hearing he's working on a plea agreement with Madison County prosecutors, but needs more time to sort through the many counts against his client.

Scrivner faces 21 counts of burglary and theft related to numerous incidents in Norfolk and Battle Creek this past winter.

Judge Mark Johnson continued Scrivner's pre-trial hearing to August 23rd.
