Levon Dean pleads not guilty to robbery charge at Sioux City motel

A not guilty plea from Levon Dean Monday morning. He's charged in two robbery cases in Sioux City.

Dean was in court to make the plea on robbery, burglary and assault charges on the April 15th incident.

Police say he and his brother Jamal, entered a room at the Palmer House Motel demanding money and drugs from another man.

Court documents show the two men stole his cell phone and car.

As part of a plea agreement the charges were dropped against Jamal Dean, in exchange for him pleading guilty to shooting Sioux City police officer, Kevin McCormick.

Levon, will go to trial on this case in October.

Levon Dean is also charged with robbing a man in Sioux City's Leeds neighborhood.

A mistrial was declared in the case last week.

A judge will decide tomorrow, on where the re-trial will be held.
