SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Woodbury County District Court Judge Jeffrey Neary Tuesday granted a request for a change of venue by Levon Dean.

Dean is the brother of Jamal Dean, who is accused of shooting and wounding a Sioux City police officer in April.

A week before that incident, prosecutors say both Dean brothers beat and robbed a man in the Leeds neighborhood at gun point.

Judge Neary ruled this morning that Levon Dean cannot get a fair trial in Woodbury County because of continued media coverage of the case.

The judge says he'll decide in the next few days where it will be moved.

He says Council Bluffs is the most likely location, but Fort Dodge and Webster City are also under consideration.
