POW MIA ceremony part of Day memorial

During Saturday's service the 185th's Honor Guard performed the White Table ceremony as a tribute to prisoners of war and service members missing in action.

The table is set to remember loved ones who have yet to come back from war.

Day's plane was shot down in 1967.

He escaped the North Vietnamese once but was ultimately imprisoned for five years and seven months.

Day received the Medal of Honor upon his return.
