SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -
The Sioux City Explorers lost for the sixth time in seven games, falling to Lincoln 3-1 on Saturday night at Lewis and Clark Park.
David Espinosa hit a home run in the first inning to give the Saltdogs a 1-0 lead. The X's didn't get their first hit until the sixth inning. Sioux City's only run came in the sixth on a sacrifice fly from Yusuke Inoguchi in the seventh.
Lincoln (39-35) added their final two runs in the eighth off of Jason Jarvis, who fell to 5-8 with the loss. Jarvis gave up five hits and struck out seven while walking just one batter.
The three game series ends at 6:05 on Sunday. The Explorers (27-46) are off Monday before starting a six game road trip to Winnipeg and St. Paul on Tuesday.
