The Sioux City Explorers will have to wait another day to try and break their four game losing streak. Wednesday's game against Winnipeg was suspended because of rain after four innings. The X's led 5-4 when the game was stopped.
The game will resume in the top of the fifth inning and will be completed as a nine inning game on Thursday. Following the completion of the suspended game, a seven inning game will be played. That will be the final game of the four game series and the two teams will not play again this season.
Sioux City trailed 4-0 on Wednesday before getting two runs in the third and three more in the fourth inning to take the lead. The Goldeyes are in the playoff hunt in the American Association, entering Wednesday's game with a 44-37 record. Sioux City has the worst record in the league at 29-53.
St. Paul will start a three game series in Sioux City on Friday.
