A man pleads not guilty after police say he cut a Sioux City man's neck.

27 year-old Walter Omar Chij-Roche is charged with attempted murder, willful injury and forgery.

Last month, police say he, and 21 year-old Ruben Hernandez got into a fight over money, near 23rd and Virginia Street.

That's when court documents say Chij-Roche, cut Hernandez's throat and stabbed him in the back.

Hernandez has since been released from the hospital.

After police arrested Chij-Roche, they found a Nebraska ID and Social Security card with another person's name, but his picture on it.

The suspect told police he bought them to get a job in the U.S.
