STANTON, NE (KTIV/US92) -

When you think of the average demolition derby, you usually think of revving engines and crushing metal, but not wedding bells.

James Rosno and Tracy Anderson of Orchard Nebraska were wed Friday night during the Stanton County Fair's demolition derby. The newlyweds have worked together for almost two decades as demo derby officials for dozens of events around Nebraska every year, and they say that's how they came to fall in love and eventually get engaged.

The problem?

They spend every weekend of the peak wedding season officiating derbies so they found a practical solution.

"We just both thought, 'this is our church. We're here at the derbies every weekend," say newlyweds James and Tracy Rosno.

The Rosnos were wed with Tracy's daughter and James' son by their sides and with about 1,000 of their closest friends looking on. The couple says their family was supportive of the idea although they can't help but joke about it a little.

"They thought it was cool," says Tracy.

"What did my sister say? Something about rednecks," says James.

Call it what you want, but the ceremony went off without a hitch. Attendees Friday learned that you never truly know when love will come crashing into you.
