"Lemonade Days" this weekend in Siouxland

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The children's museum of Siouxland will be getting some help this weekend from a unlikely source...Lemonade.

"Lemonade Days" is an idea came up with by young supporter Billy LaCroix.

Lemonade stands around Sioux City will be set up and operated by children with their proceeds going to help build the museum.

The stands will be out Saturday and Sunday in front of homes and some businesses like the Hy-Vee on Gordon Drive.

"Well the children's museum needed more money so I thought why not lemonade? It's the hot part of the year. It's the perfect way to raise money for the children's museum." said Billy LaCroix.

The children's museum has raised 3-point-7 million of it's 6-million dollar goal.

To participate you can go to the Children's Museum of Siouxland website for more information.

On Monday, August 26th from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. participants can bring their donations to the museum offices at 306 Virginia St.
