The second day of ArtSplash was significantly cooler than the first, and because of that, better attended.
The exhibiting artists say sticking it out in the heat to show off their work is worth it, even if an air conditioned room sounds more appealing.
"I think it gives great exposure for the artist and it gives an opportunity for people to come and see your work first hand. Because the difference between an art show and selling online is that you get to touch it and feel it, and talk to the artist, and see how things are made," Jennifer Lawler, silver and goldsmith said.
Event officials said they expected around 25 thousand people to make their way through the new location, Riverside Park, this year.
This year's Festival Favorite was number 80, Carrie Hubert of Sloan, Iowa. The voting was determined by text services provided by KTIV.
