BC's Miller named GPAC Defensive Player of the Week

BC is 0-1 on the year. BC is 0-1 on the year.

Briar Cliff University defensive lineman Matt Miller is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week.

Miller, a junior, from Moraine, Ohio, led Briar Cliff with six solo and 10 total tackles, including three for loss in a 30-9 loss at #24 Benedictine of Kansas. Miller was a big reason that the Chargers were within seven points on the road against the Ravens through three quarters (16-9).

Miller caused the disruption which led to the Chargers' early safety against Benedictine making the score 3-2 in the first quarter.

Briar Cliff will now be off until their September 14 GPAC opener when they host Dakota Wesleyan at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion, South Dakota.  Kick of will be at 1pm.
