UPDATE: Temperatures are still climbing in Siouxland

It was hot and humid once again this past weekend around Siouxland, but Sioux City Metro's temperature failed to reach the 90s.

The trend should end Monday with temperatures soaring into the low to mid 90s for most spots.

Although it will be a little bit on the humid side today, heat indices will still be below the 100-degree in most places.

A cold front could move through tonight giving Siouxland a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms.

We then see things cool down for Tuesday into the mid 80s, and that cooldown should last into the weekend bringing us more storm chances.

This could be our last really hot day at least for the foreseeable future.

We do have some early dismissals to pass along. Click here to see if your school has one.
