Hawarden, IA man fires several shotgun rounds toward door-to-door sales people

The Sioux County Sheriff's Office deputies say they were called to 4876 Buchanan Avenue near Hawarden, Iowa on Saturday at 3:17 p.m. for a disturbance.

They say witnesses reported that 50-year-old Samuel Harrison had shot several rounds toward three door-to-door sales people who were working in the area.

Deputies say after shooting at the people, Harrison drove away in his vehicle.

They say he was stopped on Buchanan Avenue by the Hawarden Police Department at 3:27 p.m.

He was arrested by the Sioux County Sheriff's Office deputies and charged with assault, going armed with intent, and intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

The Hawarden Police charged Harrison with 2nd Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle while intoxicated.
