SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A "fiscal disaster with overtime," that's how Woodbury County Sheriff, Dave Drew describes his budget.

Another concern is having a full time nurse on staff.

Sheriff Dave Drew says the Woodbury County Jail is the only jail this size that doesn't have nurses 24/7.

Supervisor George Boykin says he doesn't want to dip into the reserves to accommodate jail staffing.

Supervisor Chair Larry Clausen says he doesn't have animosity toward the Sheriff and he feels he's been painted that way.
