Sioux City to host first-ever "Fall Fest"

A new event will celebrate the fall season in Sioux City.

Wednesday city officials announced the first-ever "Fall Fest" for Saturday, October 12th.

There will be a number of activities happening around the Sioux City, including a farmer's market, haunted houses and ice skating.

The festival will also include the Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert concert at the Tyson Events Center that evening.

"We have venues that are hosting a myriad of activities for youth through seniors," economic development specialist Anne Westra said. "It's a chance for people to get out and enjoy all that Sioux City has to offer."

The city has joined forces with as many as 16 partners to provide fun events for people of all ages.
