Morningside saw their six match winning streak end with a 3-1 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday.

The Morningside volleyball team saw their six match winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday night.
The Mustangs (7-3) were one point away from pushing the match to a fifth game but the unbeaten Prairie Wolves (9-0) won the deciding game, 30-28. After losing game one, Morningside tied the match with a 25-23 win in game two. Wesleyan took game one 25-18 and game three, 25-15.
Sophomore Gabi French led Morningside with 17 kills. Maggie Vondrak added 14 and Kecia Verburg had 11. Hannah Roberg had 25 assist. The Mustangs next match is at Dordt on September 18.
Nebraska Wesleyan got 15 kills from Malory Dahl and 10 from former Bishop Heelan standout Katelyn Walsh.
