NORFOLK, NE (KTIV) -

It's a big week of football in Norfolk, Nebraska. On Friday, number-one Norfolk Catholic will host number-2 Boone Central/Newman Grove.

This is a rematch of last year's state championship game, which Norfolk Catholic won 24-13. The Knights became the first C1 team in Nebraska history to win three straight state titles. Catholic also beat Boone Central 35-31 in the regular season last year.

Both teams are 2-0 this season. Boone Central is coming off of a 48-7 win against Pierce, which opened everyone's eyes.

"We know they're pretty good," said head coach Jeff Bellar. "We do know each other pretty well. We've played a lot the last couple years and we know their strengths and weaknesses. They have a lot of players back from a year ago. It will be a great football game. It should be fun for our kids and fun for their kids. Their will be a big crowd and there will be a lot of excitement and I just hope we come out and play well."

"We can't have any mental breakdowns, no ball on the ground. We can't have false starts and offsides," said senior Jackson Love. "We just have to go out there and play like it's going to be a 48 minute game because it is."

"We play as a team, we play together," said Jordan Catteu. "We don't get down on each other. Not everything might not go our way tomorrow but we'll just stick together and play our hearts out."

That game starts at 7 o'clock on Friday. We'll have the highlights on Sports Fource Extra.
