Opportunities Unlimited warns people about a scam

A Sioux City organization wants people to know about a scam that is going around.

Opportunities Unlimited says they've learned that someone is going to door to door saying they're soliciting donations on behalf of the organization.

They've had reports from both Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff.

Officials say O.U. does not receive their funding by going to people's houses or through telemarketing.

If you are approached by someone soliciting fund on behalf of O.U., you're asked to call the Sioux City police department at 712-279-6960.
