Million dollar food, clothing giveaway set for Sioux City

A faith-based organization will give away $1,000,000 worth of food, clothing, and services, in Sioux City this weekend.

Convoy of Hope helps low-income individuals and families.

The event is being coordinated by Morningside Assembly of God Senior Pastor Johnny Helton.

It will feature a grocery giveaway, breast cancer detection, and other health and job services.

The convoy values the opportunity to provide hope to those who need it most.

"I love coming in and seeing a community come together because they care about one another. And that's really the hope that we have with these events is that people, neighbors, will help neighbors. That we'll have people who want to make a difference to make that difference. And we have that opportunity tomorrow to do just that," said Jason Bachman with Convoy for Hope.

The Convoy of Hope beings Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Tyson Events Center.
