NORFOLK, NE (KTIV) -

A Norfolk, Nebraska man has pleaded not guilty after police say he shot another man at a party in February.

24-year old Arturo Raya was in court Thursday on assault and felony weapons charges.

Police say he shot 20-year-old Devan Key in the stomach at a house part in Norfolk.

They say Key survived and told police who shot him.

Raya fled the state but was eventually arrested in Texas in July.
