Intellectual disabilities the focus of new Sioux City event
A new event in Sioux City will help raise awareness about intellectual disabilities. It's called Young Athlete Play Activity Day.
The program is geared for children who are too young to take part in the regular Special Olympics program. This is for children with intellectual disabilities who are 2 to 8 years old.
Young Athletes Play Day will be held October 9, at the Long Lines Family Rec Center in Sioux City. For more information on this event and the Polar Plunge set to take place October 19 at Brown's Lake, click here
