DeSoto and Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuges are closed

In Siouxland, DeSoto and Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuges are closed due to the lapse in appropriations from the federal government

Officials say until further notice, the facilities are closed to the public and all public activities are canceled. 

This includes hunting access, scheduled hunts, and Comprehensive Conservation Plan public review open house meetings scheduled for October 2 and 3.
