Local radio stations are spending this week making miracles for children.
The Caring for Kids Radiothon, benefiting the Children's Miracle Network, is on the air this week at UnityPoint Health-Saint Luke's in Sioux City.
Families will have a chance to share their stories, with volunteers standing by to take pledges until Thursday. There is also a raffle for gift baskets and other items.
But money won't be the only thing being raised by the Radiothon.
"The Caring for Kids Radiothon really helps with awareness of the Children's Miracle Network as well as helping these local families in our area. Awareness being people that might not know what the Children's Miracle Network does," said Rachel Thompson with Children's Miracle Network.
Radiothon officials say they expect to match or exceed last year's pledge total of $125,000.
