I was born on a farm outside of a small town called Huntertown which is about 10 miles north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. My love for meteorology was instilled in me by my great-grandparents.
Growing up on a farm, you have to constantly keep an eye on the sky and my grandpa taught me the basics that a 4-year-old should know, Thunder is God playing bowling and the lightning is when God gets a strike, I knew that wasn't true but I would always go along with it.
Along with my passion for weather, I also played basketball and soccer for club as well as for my school. I was actively involved in 4-H, multiple clubs in school, and I did a lot of volunteer work with the Mildly Mentally Handicapped (MIMH) kids.
I graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in Professional Meteorology and Climatology in May of 2013. While in my last semester of college, I interned at WANE-TV with meteorologist Greg Shoup for 6 months. Four weeks after I ended my internship, I began my career here at KTIV-TV.
I am very close to my family and friends which mean the whole world to me. If it wasn't for the love and support of my family, I wouldn't be in the great place that I am today.
You can watch me on KTIV News 4 doing the weekend weather and also reporting the news three days a week.
