Two campgrounds run by the Army Corps of Engineers are closed due to shutdown


U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials have closed two campgrounds near Gavins Point Dam because of the federal government shutdown that began October 1. 

Campers at the Cottonwood and Nebraska Tailwaters recreation areas were given notice that they had to leave on Wednesday, October 2 by 8 p.m.
