Candidates for Sioux City City Council narrowed to six


And then there were six.  Sioux City voters have narrowed the list of candidates in the race for city council.

The top vote getters in Tuesday's primary election:
Pete Groetken - 2371
Dan Moore - 2009
Doug Batcheller - 1633
Keith Radig - 1460
Maria Rundquist - 1234
Jim France - 914

That means Chris Baltushis and Thomas Venesky will not move on to the November 6th general election.

Baltushis picked up 733 votes and Venesky received 338.

The six remaining candidates are vying for three open seats on the city council.

10,692 votes were cast in Tuesday's primary.
