Check your coverage because Medicare Advantage plans are changing in 2014

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

There are some big changes coming to those who have Medicare.  Some of the coverage plans that have been available in the past will not be available in 2014.

Each year Medicare Advantage plans decide whether to sign a contract with Medicare.  If your plan intends to leave Medicare, you should receive notice from that provider about your options.

If that does happen you could join a new Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare.

Your current coverage will end December 31, 2013.  Making a decision before that time ensures coverage will be in place on January 1, 2014.
