The Hawkeye basketball team returns nearly everyone from last season. That includes the "Sioux Crew" of Zach McCabe, Adam Woodbury and Mike Gesell.

Iowa went 25-13 last season and reached the finals of the NIT.

The additions of transfer Jarrod Uthoff and freshman Peter Jok will make the Hawkeyes one of the deepest teams in the Big Ten. Iowa's rotation could feature a dozen players.

The first goal is to reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in eight years.

"Clearly you want to be in the position where everybody thinks you're going to be good," said Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery. "Now what we have to do is have the maturity to recognize that and prepare appropriately."

"I think we all have our own expectations and the fans always have there's," said sophomore Adam Woodbury. "We're just trying to build every day on the next and continue to grow. We're trying to have a lot more success than we had the last few years."

The Hawkeyes open the season on November 8th against North Carolina-Wilmington.
