Controversy surrounds new Hard Rock Casino GM

The hearing comes just a few days after the Hard Rock announced its new general manager of the hotel and casino, Todd Moyer.

But his hiring is raising a few questions because Moyer was fired from the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa back in May.

He was accused of using profanity and yelling at two casino managers in front of customers during an event.

He was also accused of shoving one of the managers.

Moyer went before the state gaming board in May, which described his behavior as "undesirable, detrimental to and reflects negatively on the integrity and best interest of racing and gaming."

They terminated Moyer from Diamond Jo and revoked his occupational license for 30 days.

In a statement to KTIV, Moyer said "It was an unfortunate situation which I have learned from."  He adds that during his 23 year career in the casino industry, he's had countless examples of positive feedback from many employees that he supervised.

"Out of respect for the gaming board review process, I didn't question the decision and chose to move on to a new and exciting role with the Hard Rock Casino in Sioux City," Moyer said.
