SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center hosted the grand opening of the new discovery forest nature playscape on Saturday.

And, before the tours started, kids were already taking advantage of the spider web, building wood block towers, and climbing the jungle gym.

All the youngsters have their favorite part of the new play area.

"I like to draw chalk over here because I really like this place," Sofia Carrigan, of Dakota Dunes, SD, said.

"It's awesome cause I like to play the instruments," Zach Behrens, of Sioux City, said.

The playscape cost $92,000 and was funded by individual donations and grant money.
