SIOUX CITY -- -
Morningside College's Maggie Vondrak, a 6-0 senior outside hitter from Sioux City, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 7-13.
Vondrak pounded 33 kills and averaged 5.50 kills per game to lead the Mustangs to 3-0 sweeps of Mount Marty College and Dakota Wesleyan University. Vondrak is averaging a team-high 3.54 kills per game and leads the Mustangs' non-liberos with an average of 3.80 digs per contest. Vondrak has 995 kills during her three-year Morningside career to put her five shy of becoming the 15th volleyball player in Morningside history to amass 1000 career kills.
