Officers launch search for two Northeast Nebraska crime suspects

The Nebraska State Patrol has called off an active manhunt near Norfolk, Nebraska Thursday afternoon.

Nebraska State Patrol Captain Paul Hattan said crews had exhausted all leads.

About 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, law enforcement officers were searching for two people, an unnamed male and an unnamed female wanted for allegedly stealing a car in Omaha.

The State Patrol described the male as Hispanic, 5'6" and 155 lbs. while the female is described as Hispanic, 5'8" and about 180 pounds.

The stolen vehicle was recovered north of Norfolk, but the two fled on foot, split up, and currently at large.

Capt. Hattan said the male may be armed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Nebraska State Patrol or their local law enforcement.
