A group of Siouxland students spent the morning throwing strikes and picking up spares.
The Special Olympics bowling team in Sioux City was competing to qualify for state, along with the help of their Project Unify partners.
KTIV's Matt Breen was in on the fun, bowling with his partner Chloe to try for a state competition berth.
Coaches say the kids have been looking forward to this event for a long time.
"Besides their academics, which we work at every day, this is an opportunity for them, a social opportunity for them to make new friends, to meet old friends, and to show their skills at the different events we do," Flora Teska, Special Olympics bowling coach said.
Matt and Chloe bowled a 200 in their first game and a 202 in their second.
We'll let you know as soon as possible if they made it to state.
