STANTON, NE (KTIV) -

One person has died, and another was seriously injured, in an accident at a feedlot east of Norfolk, Nebraska.

The Stanton County sheriff says it happened at about 3:00pm Monday afternoon, at the Four Quarters feedlot.

A 53-year-old Norfolk man died after he was struck, and buried, by a large falling silage pile in an open pit. We're told the victim is the feedlot's owner and operator.

A 60-year-old co-worker was seriously hurt. He's in an Omaha hospital.

Investigators will release the names of the victims, Tuesday morning.
