Iowa State plays their third straight ranked team this week after losing to Baylor, 71-7, last week.
AMES, Iowa (KTIV) -
Iowa State is looking for answers after losing to Baylor, 71 to 7, last week. It's the most points ISU has given up since Nebraska scored 77 on them in 1997.
It doesn't get any easier for the Cyclones, who face their third straight ranked team when #19 Oklahoma State comes to Ames on Saturday.
Head coach Paul Rhoads has beaten a ranked team in each of his four previous seasons, but his team has to find some confidence.
"We got waxed Saturday night and that hasn't dampened their spirits or changed their attitude or how hard they're going to work, not one bit," said Rhoads. "We want to win. I don't care if we're playing on the road or at Jack Trice or at Johnny Majors Practice Field. We've got to find ways to be successful and win. I count on an energized crowd that brings their excitement about Cyclone football to Jack Trice Stadium. Our football team will play energized and hopefully one will feed the other."
The Cyclones are 13-point underdogs. Iowa State and Oklahoma State kickoff at 11 AM Saturday on Fox Sports Net.
