Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a salon robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon.
Sergeant Cristy Hamblin says officers were called to Edge Salon, 212 Edgewood Road NW, at around 12:27 p.m. Wednesday.
Employees said that a white male -- about 5-foot-8, 150 pounds and wearing a gray hoodie -- walked into the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money.
Hamblin says the man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and headed west on Johnson Ave NW.
Two employees and one customer were in the business at the time. No one was hurt.
