PREVIEW: It's the final night of the regular season for Siouxland high school football teams

With Iowa expanding their playoffs to 32 teams in each class, there's not much drama anyone close to a winning record will likely get in but it should be an interesting night.

All four Sioux City teams could make the playoffs.

Top-ranked Bishop Heelan is a lock in Class 3A, as they try to get to 9 and 0 at number-10 Spencer.

In 4A, East is already in at 6 and 2 overall and 3 and 1 in the district.

The Black Raiders have a tough home matchup with 8th-ranked West Des Moines Valley tonight.

North has to win at Fort Dodge to get in.

The Stars and Dodgers are both 3 and 5 overall and 1 and 3 in the district.

West, at 2 and 7, finished fourth in their division and will travel to Dowling for a playoff game next Wednesday.

There are a lot of good matchups that we'll have on Sports Fource Extra later tonight.

South Sioux City has a good chance to break a 5-game losing streak against winless Schuyler.

Also in Nebraska, second-ranked Wynot takes on Wausa and Newcastle plays their final football game against Lindsey Holy Family -- Newcastle will close at the end of the school year.

In Iowa, Lawton-Bronson goes to Hinton -- both of those teams are 7 and 2 and playoff bound.

In 8-man football, a top ten battle between number-3 Newell-Fonda and number-5 West Bend-Mallard.

Highlights of 11 games, coming up Friday night at 10.
